Oneida woven ash splint basket with broad spokes and narrow weavers and a flat fitted lid, flat, square base which tapers to a round rim. Donated by Mrs. H.E. Gore, June, 1941.

pouch, leather  

A Dene made leather quillwork pouch in the form of a miniature bandolier bag with floral and geometric designs in applique, loom and wrapped loop quillwork. From the Pearsall collection.

basket, hanging  

A 6-sided green and red cloth hanging basket with a flared and scalloped mouth, glass bead decoration in geometric and vegetal motifs. Haudenosaunee tourist piece, made around the Niagara region in the mid-19th century.

box, porcupine  

A round box, 1.5 inches, made of birch bark and ornamented with red and white coloured porcupine quill work. Work of the North East Indians. From the Von Noszky collection, Melrose Florida. Donated by Rosa Von Noszky in 1922.

Rectangular oak or ash splint basket, red and green dyed, with sweet grass embellishments, flat lid with ring closure. Donated by Mrs. E.S. Walker in 1934.

Loom woven armband or garter, made with pony beads, warp and weft with five braids on each end. Osage, possible Delaware, ca. 1850. Donated by F.E. Aspinwall in 1927.

Glengarry bonnet  

Seminole or possibly Haudenosaunee black cloth oval cap or Glengarry bonnet embellished with three beaded birds and foliage on the top and sides. Collected by J.T. Stephens from a Seminole in Big Cypress Swamp, December, 1857.

bag, bandolier  

Early 19th century Seminole bandolier bag, rectangular pouch only; shoulder strap missing. Embellished with beaded floral designs. Purchased by the McMichael Museum from Howard B. Roloff in 1977 and traded with the FSM for Canadian material.
