This bandolier sash is part of a war bundle. It is made from a tan coloured textile with a centre seam that would sit against the wearer's body. The outer face has been decorated with a red wool, scalloped along the bottom edge. Dew claws

The is a posed group photograph of men and women of the Kahnawake reserve in traditional dress. This photograph was taken between 1880 and 1890.

buckskin coat  

Fringed hide jacket with brass buttons collected by Oronhyatekha who identifies it as the type worn by "Coureurs du bois." Darts and seams around bust and waist suggest it may be a women's coat, similar to one from the collection of Evelyn Johnson. Dr. Oronhyatekha
