This is a full length watercolour portrait of Christine Vincent,A-ti-a-an-onk, of the Huron-Wendat community at Jeune Lorette. It is by Phillip J. Bainbrigge and dates from 1840.

Mississauga Surrender in South-east Ontario  

A provisional surrender in which the Principal Men of the Mississauga Nation agreed to surrender unto John Ferguson a tract of land measuring 2,000,000 acres fronting the Ottawa River in consideration of the yearly sum of 642 pounds 10 shillings. See IT084 - Map

This is a watercolour painting of a Seneca encampment beside Niagara Falls. The painting is by Edward Walsh and dates from 1804.

A wooden ball-headed club attributed to the Hodenosaunee/Haudenosaunee from the eighteenth century. Purchased by E. Konietzko in Hamburg.

Mohawk Ice Fishermen camp in winter, Gloucester Bay, Lake Huron.  

This watercolour painting depicts two Mohawk ice fishermen in a winter landscape. The painting gives a clear image of snowshoes and winter moccasins. The work is by Berdoe A. Wilkinson, and dates from 1853, and is in the Peter Winkworth Collection of Canadiana.

Wooing of Hiawatha  

Hiawatha stands facing Minnehaha and Arrowmaker with slain deer between them. The scene takes place in front of Minnehaha Falls.
