Surrender of Indian Reserve on the Credit River

moccasins  

A pair of moccasins in two-part construction with beaded U-shaped vamps and attached cuffs; attributed to the Sioux but more likely of Anishinaabe origin as stated on catalogue card; obtained from a Mr. v.d. Horck in 1878.

Letter from I. Schie[ss/ff]elin to unnamed recepient. 7 May 1793.

Phyn Ellice & Inglis to Alexander McKee, 9 August 1793  

The company Phyn Ellice & Inglis writes to McKee saying they have added items (the harness) to his debit. NOTE: a follow-up letter saying the company still has not heard from McKee is included on the same page (dated 27 September 1793).
