Peter Jones Collection
Peter Jones was the son of a Mississauga mother and a Welsh father. He was converted to Methodism in the 1820s and made several trips to Great Britain and the United States to raise money for his missionary activities. He noted in his diary, used by his wife as a source for the biography published after his death,that he displayed some of these items in conjunction with his lectures as evidence of Anishinaabe culture and his successes in converting pagans.
