Introduction

A pair of women's leggings made of black woolen and decorated with beaded strips and ribbons; to fit tightly, the leggings were sewn along the contour of the owner's leg; obtained from a Mesquakie woman, near Tama, Iowa; purchased from William Jones.

Two rectengular pieces of black woolen were folded lengthwise and sewn along the contour of the leg; each front-flap is decorated with a beaded strip; edges are bound with ribbons; sewing done with cotton thread.
