Materials

navy woolen cloth with a yellow selvedge line, red silken tape, size 12 greasy yellow beads, size 12 opaque white beads (they vary in thickness), a few size eight translucent yellow beads with opaque white centres, black cotton thread, beige thread.

Techniques or Format

Each legging is made from a single piece of cloth. The yellow selvedge line runs along the top of both leggings. Both leggings have been sewn closed starting about 9cm from the bottom, for about 10cm on one legging and 20cm on the other. The legging cloth was cut so that when the legging is folded in half and the bottom edges line up, the top edges are uneven -- one side appears to be cut on a diagonal.

Dimensions: 40.5 × 23.5 × 0 cm
Condition: There is some bead loss along the edging, and there are a few small holes in the cloth.
