Summary of Source(s) for this Relative

Information from the catalogue card.

Materials

navy woolen cloth; beige cotton cloth; red cotton tape; size 12 opaque white beads; beige thread; black thread.

Techniques or Format

Each legging has a lower portion, made from a single piece of navy cloth, to which has been sewn an upper portion, made from the same navy cloth. The area of the leggings where the beaded border sits is lined with beige cotton. Both leggings are sewn up the front, with small spaces left at the bottom.

Other Notes

One of the upper portions is actually two pieces of cloth that are machine-sewn together. Could this have been cut from a piece of clothing, refashioned into leggings?
