Materials

Two kinds of red woolen cloth; beige cotton cloth; green/gold silken ribbon; size 12 opaque white seed beads; beige thread; red thread; black thread; blue/grey residue.

Techniques or Format

The upper quarter of each legging is a separate piece of red cloth that has been sewn onto the lower portion with red thread. The beadwork on the bottom and side straddles the green cloth, perhaps done intentionally by the maker for its aesthetic effect. Beige cotton lines the legging underneath the beadwork that decorates the bottom and sides of the leggings, sewn on with red thread. Both leggings are sewn shut, with small openings left at the bottoms. Blue/grey residue resembling paint is on some of the beaded edging.
