Description of Document:

Memorandum of articles promised outside the treaty signed 3 August 1871. The articles given to members of the Chippewa and Swampy Cree Tribes include: clothing, buggies, cows, pigs, and farming implements. The animals were provided for the use of the Indians, but were to remain Government property under the superintendence of the Indian Commissioner.
