Introduction

This relative, a string of 14 wampum beads, is identified as a bracelet on an old museum tag. Although the origins of this relative are not certain, it is recorded as having been gifted by Sauk Chief Black Hawk or Keokuk to Major General Cunningham in the late 18th to early 19th century. 

This relative currently resides in the National Museum of Ireland.
