Introduction

Wampum belt made of 11 warps of tanned hide, possibly deer skin, with white and purple wampum beads. There are 5 diagonal parallel lines, with four done a single line of purple beads, a double line of white beads, and a triple line of purple beads. This motif is reversed on the other side. The threading is made of cotton.

In January of 2016, a small team of GRASAC researchers visited the collection to study and photograph it: Ruth Phillips, Lisa Truong, Naomi Recollet (Anishinaabe (Odawa/Ojibwe), Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory) and Wahsontiio Cross (Mohawk, Kahnawake).
