Materials

Made of fur; ermine, hide, tassel; silk cord, silk embroidery thread; blue, green, yellow, pink, orange, purple.

Techniques or Format

Almost oval bag, wall pocket of white skin, the front face embroidered below the opening with three large rose-like petalled flowers, two pink and one blue, with two small purple flowers below and purple and orange flowers above, over green foliage. Above the pouch opening is an orange flower between two sprays of green foliage. The interior is lined with white cotton, and the opening and edge are decorated with strips of white rabbit or ermine fur. To the back is attached is a loop of plaited silk rope, in purple, yellow and grey, for suspension. Sewing is probably in cotton.
