Beaded floral vest.

Date Made or Date Range: Late 19 C
Materials

Body: serge (twill woolen) bound with calico edging, beads: size 11 seed beads; back is a polished cotton twill in brown, entire item is lined with an unbleached linen muslin, possibly flour paste used to make the designs prior to construction; 4 metal buttons.

Techniques or Format

Handsewn, possibly flour paste used to make the designs prior to construction; 4 hand sewn button holes; not an outstanding example, not very high on the virtuosity scale.
