Two Haudenosaunee burden straps made of nettlestalk fibre with woven central bands of dyed nettlestalk and glass bead edging. The central band on one burden strap is ornamented with moosehair in false embroidery applied in a linked diamond design.
Both straps are Haudenosaunee (RP)

Burden strap A: Made with woven nettlestalk fibre. The central band is dyed dark brown, with false moosehair embroidery and glass bead edging. Burden strap B: Made with woven nettlestalk fibre. Weaving is coarser on the side band (ties) than on the front. Central band dyed rich orangey-brown, with glass bead edging.
Burden strap A: 7 linked alternating large and small serrated diamond shapes - 4 small, 3 large. Each diamond appears to be halved or quartered into contrasting colours.
The distinction between strap "A" and "B" is not done by the National Museum of Denmark, but for our own cataloguing purposes.
