Tray, calling card
This relative, a moosehair embroidered birchbark tray, is an example of naakaans (birchbark handicraft), which features figures, birds, and flowers. Although the precise origins of this item are not clear, it is believed to have connections to the Huron-Wendat, and was transferred from the Royal Botanic Gardens, Glasnevin, to the National Museum of Ireland in the second half of the nineteenth century.
This relative currently resides in the National Museum of Ireland.
