Surrender of Land in Anderdon Township, Essex County, Ontario
The Chiefs of the Band of Chippewa Indians of the Township of Anderdon, in the County of Essex do surrender to Her Majesty a tract of land situated in Block C of the Township of Anderdon, being composed of lot number 5 in the fourth concession, and the north half of lot number four in the fourth concession, containing 300 acres. The lands are to be held in trust for the Indians.

Description of Land Sold:
John Natty and Frederick Fisher, Chiefs of he Band of Chippewa Indians of the Township of Anderdon, in the County of Essex, and Western District of the Province of Canada, in Council assembled, to hereby surrender and yield up unto Her Majesty Queen Victoria, all our rights, title, interest, claim, property, and demand in and to that tract or parcel of land situated in Block C of the township, county, district and province aforesaid, being composed of lot number five in the fourth concession, and the north half of lot number four in the fourth concession of the said township, containing 300 acres. To the end and purpose that Her said Majesty, may be graciously pleased to order and direct that the said 300 acres of land be disposed of by bargain and sale, and the monies arising therefrom to be applied in the erection of buildings and the purchase of working oxen, farming implements, seed grain, and such other articles as may be required for the settlement of the said band of Indians on Walpole Island in the Western District aforesaid.
