speech by Confederate Nations at the Glaize, 27 February 1793
Here the Confederate Nations say to the Five Nations they feel from the response of the United States that the Five Nations have not properly conveyed the intentions and terms for peace with the United States to be discussed at the Council at Sandusky. The Confederate Nations are unequivocal that it is incumbent on the Five Nations to return to their task of explaining the Confederate Nations' will and position to the United States. They add that the Americans may only pass through the Indian Country in the places specified at council held last fall. They also remind the Five Nations to bring with them to the Council the & Nations of Canada.
