Techniques or Format
With wooden frames and two crossbars, these snowshoes have a tapered end and flat rounded toe. The netting is made of babiche that is fastened to the frame at the toe and tail sections with the selvage thong method, and at the foot sections through wrapping. For the bindings, commercial leather straps with metal buckles are secured to netting at the foot section.
