Description of Writing/Text

Description of Agreement:

The Chiefs of the Chippewa Nation ceded unto the Crown lands described in a surrender of 1798, bounded by a line to be drawn from the head of Opetiquayawsing to Nottoway Sague Bay, including the harbour of Penetanguishene, running west twenty degrees north and coloured red. Goods to the amount of 100 pounds Quebec currency were to be given to the Indians.
