Materials

bone, red pigment, green silk ribbon, golden eagle feather, leather, red hackle feathers, wood, white hare fur, red and brown (faded green) horse hair, natural porcupine quills, cotton thread

Techniques or Format

Bone roach spreader with geometric cut out design, geometric scratching, red stained edges and attached bone tube. A single golden eagle feather rests in a tube and is fastened to the core by a leather string. The feather is decorated with a wooden stick, which is wrapped with horse hair, quills and some red hackle feathers. A soiled green silk ribbon is wrapped around the tube.
