Techniques or Format

Cow's horn with carved wood and inset mirror at the base, with small metal loops attached at either end of the horn. Two straps are made of beaded red stroud with white selvedge at the top, lined with brown printed cloth sewn with commercial thread, bound with black silk ribbon. Straps end in two self-tabs and black silk ribbon. Hide thongs tied to metal buttons are pulled through singular holes at the top of the straps and then tied through the metal loops of the horn.

Motifs and Patterns

Floral beadwork, different designs on either strap, one strap also depicting possibly berries. White selvedge at top of the straps.

Other Notes

One strap has become detached.
