Materials

Smoked, tanned, dyed hide, commercial thread, moosehair (?), tin cylinders, beige cotton backing strap--colors orange, blue, white, green.

Techniques or Format

Triangular flap closure, strap backed and edged with beige cotton. pouch front is outlined with compact fringe of metal cylinders and red-dyed deer hair. Pouch and strap are decorated with moosehair applicque in simple line stitch. Single line of white porcupine quillwork in zigzag band technique on pouch face. button formed from silk-wrapped pebble. Sewn with commercial thread.
