Materials

Made of porcupine quill, metal, deer hair, buckskin.

Techniques or Format

There are two panels of quill work with red, blue, white and yellow geometric patterns. Two rows of quill wrapped fringe ending in metal cones with white deer hair. One row below each panel.

Motifs and Patterns

A geometric pattern of diamond and half-diamond shapes are worked into the two quill panels. Above the quill panels, is a petal and curved line design.

Original and Subsequent Uses

Shot pouch used by hunter to hold shot, percussion caps and gun powder.

Dimensions: 16.5 × 26 × 0 cm
