Introduction

This relative, a tubular pipe stem, is adorned with ribbons that are tied around feathers and bound to the stem with vegetable fibre. Although the origins of this relative are not certain, it is believed to have been made in the late 18th to early 19th century. 

This relative currently resides in the National Museum of Ireland.
