made of buckskin in basically six piece construction: 2 pieces form each side of front: 4 pieces form the back. Two additional rectangular pieces form the pockets and 2 additional pieces are inserted down each side of centre front opening. Full length legs are cut straight at the bottom and are pieced with two parallel vertical seams down inside and outside leg. A cut buckskin fringe is inserted into seam on outskin inserts extending 19.03 from waist on right side and 11.0 cm from waist on of opening. Cut buckskin fringe is overlaid with machine stitching to bottom edge of both pockets. Centre front opening extends 31.5 cm from waist. Six circular metal buttons are attached at regular intervals with black cotton thread vertically down insert on right side. Buttons are of 5 types: black cross-hatched;;
