A quillwork panel, likely a cradleboard ornament or cuff. Western Anishinaabe, made between 1750 and 1850. Collected by W O Oldman and purchased from the British Museum by Mrs. D K Oldman in 1949.

The panel is from a single piece of hide with a separate hide piece on one end. The pattern is formed by quill wrapped splints at the lower end. The hide is cut into thongs that are quill wrapped and finished with metal cones. Two ends are cut into single tabs with holes cut into them with one thong remaining.
