Description of Writing/Text

The Committee of the Executive Council received a report dated 16th July 1859 regarding the unconditional surrender of land by the Chippewa Indians at Fort William. The report requests that the treaty be accepted. Therefore, the committee recommended that the surrender be accepted and that it be enrolled in the usual manner in the offices of the Provincial Registrar and Commissioner of Crown Lands.
