Description of Writing/Text

This is a copy of a report dated 3 November 1862, of the results of a mission to Manitoulin Island in which the Indians surrendered several portions of the Island. Since this prior agreement, the agreement had been modified to exclude from the arrangement that part of the island eastwardly of the Manitoulin Gulf and Heywood Sound. The committee advised that the agreement be approved and ratified by His Excellency.
