Copy of a Report of a Committee of the Executive Council, dated 4th July 1856, which states:
Transmitting a deed of surrender from the Chiefs and Principal Men of the Indian Tribe residing at Port Sarnia, to Her Majesty the Queen, in trust, of a parcel of land comprising 25 acres, in order that they same be sold to the Great Western Railroad Company for a right of way, station accommodations etc.
The Committee recommends that they trust be accepted and entered upon the records in the offices of the Commissioner of Crown Lands and of the Provincial Registrar.
