Unfinished moccasins made with deerskin (dyed black), silk ribbon and white beads. Motifs include chained diamonds with X shaped beaded forms, large double curve motif, and small loops on the edge of the double curve. Collected by Johann Georg Schwarz. Currently housed at the Weltmuseum Wien, Vienna.

Deerskin dyed black, silk ribbon, very small white beads and thread; with paper backing underneath the silk ribbon and the deerskin.
Made with very narrow vamp has been inset with puckering.
Features chained diamonds with X shaped beaded forms, large double curve motif, and small loops on the edge of the double curve.
Seems to be a transition between central and inset vamp style moccasins (noted by Ruth Phillips).
Length and width indicated as "L9xw at ankle 16," with the length presumably recording in inches rather than cm.
Johann Georg Schwarz collected this item, possibly when he traveled to Detroit and through Upper Canada in the winter of 1820-1821.
