These moccasins are made from a single piece of tanned, smoked skin, seamed vertically at the heel, and in a gathered seam down the centre front. The front seam, and ankle flaps are covered with loom-woven quillwork, and edged with quills in zigzag band technique. At the lower edge of each ankle flap is a compact fringe of metal cones and red hair. A pair of same tassels are attached on ewither side of quillwork onfront of themoccasins. Quill colrs are white, blue, red, dark brown and yellow. The sewing is with skin thong and string.
