This style of beadwork is typical of the Haudenosaunee.

Materials

Commercially tanned dark brown hide, red cotton tape binding, beads are white, transluscent grey, red, pink, green, light blue and medium blue, polished cotton as a lining, vamp is a black velvet

Techniques or Format

Puckered toe with a vamp overlapping the puckers, separate one piece unfolded stand up cuff, t-heel seam.

Motifs and Patterns

Floral motifs, monochromatic shading, green stem with leaves, double parallel of lines of white around vamp, (edging stitch) white beads sewn into the puckers on the outer border, zig zag of light blue beads and double parallel line of white beads on cuff

Dimensions: 27 × 9 × 12 cm
Condition: Poor, commercial hide is deteriorated, structure is unstable
