centre-seam with fine puckering along seam, separate cuffs sewn on, single wide row of single fold (or zig-zag band) quillwork bordering cuffs and triple row over centre vamp seam
On-site researchers: Angle of the cuff could indicate where these come from, a beautiful pair when new; Ruth: the motif on the vamp seam with the curving elements at the ankle end resembles depictions of horned serpents on other kinds of Anishinaabe items, such as ritual records on birchbark panels
