Materials

Made with caribou hide, red wool fabric, embroidery floss, sinew and thread.

Techniques or Format

Horizontal seam across toe, central seam. The heel has rounded flap stitched on the exterior.

Motifs and Patterns

The floral vamp design is embroidered with finely executed square chain stitch bilaterally-symmetrical and includes rosebuds. Each of the six-lobed flowers have three petals of one colour and three of a second colour.

Condition: Worn and patched.
