Introduction

Moccasins made with black dyed deer skin, porcupine quills, red dyed animal hair, red silk ribbon, and small tin cones. There are floral motifs throughout, showing colours of blue, orange (or red), and white. Originally collected by Johann Georg Schwarz in the 1820s, these moccasins are currently housed at the Weltmuseum Wien, Austria.
