Heavy weight cotton twill flannellette on outside (navy), lined with same (cream), silk ribbon (red, yellow, dark green, and purple), and acetate ribbon (lime green and red striped), red wool tape, sz. 10 seed beads (white). Cotton thread (black, red)
Fully lined and hand sewn with top edge folded over to form hem. Edged all around sides and hem with red wool tape trimmed with two bead edging stitch in white seed beads to about 4 inches from top. Ribbonwork panel consists of one field of red ribbon with yellow ribbon on top cut away and sewn down, and one field of simply a multicolored striped ribbon, This has been folded on itself to fit around the corner between the side leg and cuff. At the top edge of the ribbonwork panel there are loose ribbons with diagonal and inverted "v" cut ends in dark green, purple and red. Unlike the usual case, these are not simply the loose ends of the ribbons in the work itself. The ends of the red wool tape are left long to dangle, however. Additionally, there are ties made from the blue twill flannellette on the top of both sides.
The red and yellow ribbonwork field has one column of double diamonds alternating with elongated diamonds.
