Identified by the CMC as stroud, but the GRASAC team (Judy Hall, Ruth Phillips, Linda Sioui) have found it to be felt made to look like stroud. Red silk ribbon edging, black velvet, cotton thread, moosehair, tanned unsmoked hide fringe.

Additional Context

(LS) "probably more comfortable than real stroud - thinner."
