Introduction
Lamothe thanks Mckee for his approving of General Clarke's approving of his appointment. He also comments that Young Men of Matchiquiwissis arrived in Mackinac, and he believes they will revenge Matchiquisissis death. He also writes that he sent Captain Chew a small box of curiosities. He sent McKee three Buffaloe Skins and One Bear Skin, noting he could not find any Martins sufficiently brown.
