A Huron-Wendat feather headdress with a velvet band embroiderd in moosehair with floral motifs. Early 20th century, from Wendake. Given to the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology by Mrs. Mrs. Anne Weightman Meirs in 1918.

The black velvet headband attached to the cap is lined with white cotton and embroidered with floral motifs. The upper edge is decorated with red silk ribbon and there is a line of several red threads sewn just above the bottom edge. Some of the hawk and turkey feathers are dyed pink and purple (possibly faded from red). Two wide red silk ribbons hang down from back.
