Introduction
A hat made of braided corn husk, decorated with a purple ribbon band. Hodenosaunee, probably from Six Nations of the Grand River. Acquired by the Woodland Cultural Centre from Deanna Sky in 2004.

Techniques or Format
Corn husk is braided into long pieces and then wrapped, and sewn into place with beige thread. Two pieces of purple ribbon decorate the circumference of the hat. They are tied together on either side.
