Techniques or Format
Heddle woven single garter. Black and white beads are strung on the weft in a grid, so there's a bead between every warp. Three colours of yarn are used: scarlet, a sort of faded scarlet, and teal.
Motifs and Patterns
The garter, of loom-woven, black and white beadwork, is woven of red and green yarn in broad horizontal stripes running parallel to the selvages (which continue into the knotted fringes). The white beads are accessory to weft in an allover pattern. The black beads form a repeated geometric design of confronting double-headed arrows and confronting concentric triangles.
