The MNAEF record accompanying this item states its provenance is North American (Maine) [America Sett. (Maine)]. However, a note added to the record later says Maine is too north. The Penobscott were more southern (Vermont) [Il Maine e' troppo a nord. I Penobscott stavano piu' a sud (Vermont).]
