Marks/Inscription: "A Mohawk Indian Cradle in miniature, given to Mr. Geo Brooke of Whimple Devonshire from one of the Natives of that Tribe - Given to Mrs A Proctor by Mr G-B. The Indians put their children in them and suspend them in the tree whilst they work. The wind rocks the cradle."
