Haudenosaunee carved wooden cradleboard model with notched top and carved and painted back. Appears to be a model or for a doll as it is small in size. Similar to other cradleboards from Akwesasne Mohawk Territory, NY. (W.C.)

Back crossbar and foot-board screwed onto board. Bow is secured to crossbar with hide thong; ends of bow inserted into holes in crossbar. Back is carved in floral design and painted (green, blue, yellow, red); bottom of foot-board is painted. The front of the board appears to have been painted (whitewashed) and front of bow has been painted green. Top of backboard is notched.
Bottom of foot-board painted with tree image. Back of board has a centralised upward tree/plant stalk with flowers, leaves and berries. There are also two dark blue birds (possibly starlings?- W.C.). Painted on notches on top are sky domes with three leaves or lines radiating from top centre of domes.
small size- for doll? Appears Haudenosaunee; similar to other cradleboards from Akwesasne (W.C.)
