Description of Correspondence:
John Gault, Deputy Registrar, submitted unto the Honourable Joseph Howe, Chief Superintendent of Indian Affairs, certified copies of three deeds from G.S. Boulton to Samuel P. Jarvis of lands surrendered in the Township of Alnwick to be held in trust for the Mississauga Indians. Along with the lands mentioned in the attached deeds, lot number 7 and the west half of lot number 16 in the 2nd concession of Alnwick appeared to have been previously deeded to the Indians, but were in fact surrendered to the Crown in 1845.
