Looks like it is unfinished. Carved out of one piece; A couple of knots visible in random places - not a high grade piece of wood. S

Bird motif - open beak holding ball.

Not made for battle; too small; little patination - fresh looking piece of wood; not made from burl (i.e. not weighted with heavy ball)
