Two carved wooden model canoes collected at Niagara Falls about 1875, possibly Haudenosaunee/Hodenosaunee. Donated to the Cambridge University Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology by Dr. Colin L. Forbes of the Sedgewick Museum.
A recent tag attached to item in ball point pen reads "Niagara, New York. Dr. Forbes, Sedgewick Museum [the Geology Museum of Cambridge University]." The Hodenosaunee frequently sold souvenir items at Niagara Falls in the late 19th century.

Each model canoe is carved from one piece of wood, with down-turning scroll shaped ends. Designs are burned and painted onto the canoes.
