The MNAEF register indicates the item was collected from the source community in 1889.
Provenance
The MNAEF catalogue card states that this item was collected from "Attwaird?" by "G.A. Frank London." The catalogue card states that this item was found in a tomb by Attwaird. A note added to the catalogue card at a later date states the item was "stolen, not found!" The item's entry in the MNAEF register refers to item number 7011. Under this item's register entry, it states that "items 7011 to 7025 were bought from Mr. G.A. Frank of London. All of these objects, except 7025, are from two Indian graves (almost certainly according to Prof. Giglioli) a Tadousak, Saguenay River, Canada, rather Kent Co., Ontario. These graves were dug in Sept. 1889 by Prof Attwaird (?) and were situated beside each other. We saved a piece of paper given by Frank on which is written related information." [Comprato dal Sig. G.A. Tali tome furono scavate in Sett.
