Quill box made by Ida Toulouse of Sagamok Anishnawbek First Nation, featuring purple, red and white flowers on solid white background. Made as a gift for her daughter Sophie.

Lid: central purple flower with green leaves on white background, surrounded by green and purple ring with 11 smaller flowers. Plain solid white edges.
Body: Plain solid white edges.
Note written on bottom of box with woodburning tool (and repeated on a handwritten note inside reads: "March 13, 1994. Flowers come with love. Circle has no end. Happy Birthday, All my love. Mom."

Additional Context

Ida uses certain motifs when making gifts for each of her children, and Sophie (with a springtime birthday) generally recieves flowers and butterflies.
